(AP Photo)
Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Though many schools honor this special event by closing for the day, it’s important for students to understand the great man behind the holiday. Celebrate the history by introducing your students to a brief history of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and his famous speech, “I Have a Dream.” A glossary of common terms for students and how the holiday came to be are included, as well as great photos.
