Positivity Presents: A Classroom Activity
Bring Joy To Your Classroom
This project is good for any elementary school classroom. It uses writing skills, and encourages students to be positive with eachother, and gives a holiday present for each child to treasure.
The Activity
1. Get a sheet of paper to each student. Have them write their name on the paper and a positive statement about themselves.
2. Pass papers around the room. Have each student writes something nice about each of the others [on the appropriate sheet].
3. Collect the papers and do not let the original student see their sheet. You want to be certain that nothing hurtful was said.
4. Type all the comments using a fancy font. Then, for each student, print the statements onto a sheet of nice parchment paper, roll it up, and tie a ribbon around it.
Students will love getting this gift for the holidays. Anticipation only increases their enjoyment.

We did this with our teachers and I keep it in my desk. It's nice to know what others think of you.

This is an excellent inexpensive gift to give the kids. I find that even my high schoolers love to hear positive things about themselves. Heck I wouldn't mind them saying something nice about me!
