Posted 11 months ago If you could, would you never put a book down? Meaning, would you read all day? |

Posted 10 months ago Yes, and have! Wish I could do so over my break but alas I am rushing to finish our yearbook!

Posted 9 months ago Definitely, yes! There are books that have made sacrifice a night's sleep! Of course, this is something that I regretted the next day ... :-)

Posted 7 months ago Reading need not be confined to reading books alone. As long as one is alert one can go on, and it goes on,reading and assimilating the real life book around and even the open firmament at night if it is clear. This, I feel, would be more rewarding.

Posted 7 months ago In my youth I spent many days reading all day and would often read two novels a day. I long for those days now. If I get to read one book of fiction a year it is an accomplishment. This year I read one, and it is only April., so I'm hoping I might get another novel in before September when all fiction reading ends. These days almost all my reading is related to teaching, mostly magazine articles. Everything else is non-fiction. My current read is Polio, An American Story which won the 2006 Pulitzer Prize in history. "Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence." ~~ Abigail Adams (1744 - 1818)
