| Posted about 1 year ago Did you know that they make a GIANT version of I Know an Old Lady that Swalloed a Fly? If you teach the younger ones, you have got to have this for your bag of tricks. Another favorite is Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst. It never gets old! |

| Posted about 1 year ago For the lower elementary I love to read It's the Bear byJez Alborough. It's fun to read and the kids really love it. It is one of a series of three. |

| Posted about 1 year ago "The Watsons Go To Birmingham" is a great one for upper elementary kids. It's a historical fiction novel that shows kids how books can lead you to explore topics further and learn more about times in our past. Also, there is a lot humor and sadness that the students sometimes miss when reading independently. This book leads to wonderful conversations about tolerance, tragedy, and forgiveness. |

| Posted about 1 year ago I like the Eric Carle books, especially 'The Very Busy Spider' and 'The Mixed-Up Chameleon.' With the repetition that he uses, you can really get some good class involvement. |
