During the day, I sometimes walk around tables in a large computer lab when it is not being used or make several trips to the front office just to get the blood circulating.  On other days, when I have time, I walk/jog around the park and other days I make an excuse to walk to the far end of the campus. I am planning to join the gym soon..because I'd like to get it done in one 30-45min session.. What about you...what do you do for exercise?

I try not to sit much during the day, I walk around while talking to the students.

I go to the gym regularly.

OK, I don't expect anyone to believe this - but if you knew just how Obsessive/Compulsive I am, you would.

Morning exercises: six days a week: 5000 stomach crunches and 1000 push-ups (not all at once; I do 200 push-ups, then 2000 crunches, take a short break, then do 200 more push ups, 2000 more crunches, another short break, then 200 more push-ups and 1000 crunches, short break, then 200 more push-up, short break, then the final 200 push-ups. All told it takes only about 90 minutes.)

Gym: three times a week - weight room workout: 1 hour, 30 minutes; running: 2 miles per workout.

I got into the exercise habit in Saudi Arabia, where there was little else to do.  My wife thinks I'm crazy (and she's probably right.)

I run 6 laps around West HUdson Park everyday. This keeps me pumped up! I also dance on my spare time or in the classroom with the kids. Sometimes I do yoga, which I used to do everyday when I had time.  I Love 2 Excerise!!!

I was wondering how you got those abs - now I know!  I wish I had your discipline. I can not do push-ups. I hate them and know I should do them, but after like 8 I'm done.

Ah, but Sandra - you have to build up slooooowly. The first day (back in about 1982) that I did crunches and and push-up, I managed about 25 crunches and 20 push-ups. The second day, my body wasn't going to get caught unawares; I could do only 15 crunches and 12 push-ups.

But from there, I gradually kept increasing the number. I'm content with what I'm doing now (though I sometimes have to stifle the urge to "up the ante" yet again.)

I have a small gym at home and I exercise every morning and every night. I lift weights, too.I always stand on my classes, I rarely sit. I usually walk to school ( 2,5 km ). I don't like running.

I exercise my mind.

I also do yoga.

In the summer I bike everyday, even if it is to the grocery store which saves gas at the same time! I used to play volleyball two nights a week, but since I moved I haven't had much luck finding a new team to play with.

In the winter I ski. I love skiing and with fall approaching I am excited to hit the mountains :)

I also have a total gym which I do like, only it is in storage right now due to remodeling half of the house. However, to tell you the truth... I hate to exercise; I would rather play in the outdoors. For some reason exercising for the sake of exercising makes me miserable! But, I am not 19 any more, so, I have to just change my mindset...but I don't want to...waaaahhhhh! ;)

I have been riding my bike to school!  8 miles one way!!!!   I have already lost 5 pounds!  I attach my little stroller/tent/bike hook-up for my son that started kindergarten this year!

There are times I dread it and I'd rather drive, but my son loves it so much that it motivates me to keep going!  Once I get to my destination, I am so proud of myself!!   TEN MORE POUNDS TO GO!!!

I have NEVER seen a piece of home exercise equipment - bike, teadmill, etc. - that became anything but a clothes rack.

Exercise has been a hot topic for me since I had my daughter. Knowing how much I love technology, my husband got me Wii Fit. It's bascially a video game with a balance board that guides you through Yoga, Aeorbics, strength exercises and more. It's been pretty fun, though I don't know how much it's helped me get back into shape. My favorite thing is playing tennis to break a sweat.
