Posted 3 months ago Thankfully, I have a school of very caring teachers. I could go to just about anyone of them to vent, ask for advice, or just to get my mind off of things.

Posted 3 months ago The teacher across the hall from me the past two years and I are each other's shoulders. It just so happened that this past years she had my students from the year before (special ed classes often travel from grade to grade intact in NYC) so I was usually able to help her a bit with ideas. Actuallty, our whole special ed department is very tight and we are all each other's shoulders from time to time. Me too... but usually I don't. I handle things my own way. I wait until I am in my car, on the freeway, windows up, then I scream.

Posted 3 months ago Thankfully I have friends who are teachers, both within and without my school, who I can turn to to vent, cry, yell, and get advice from. Children are the living messages we will send into a time we will not see. – John W. Whitehead

Posted 3 months ago Now I am sure I am weird. I've always screamed with the windows up!!! Too pre-occupied to put them down i guess.

Posted 3 months ago When a shoulder is not available: Really REALLY loud music, with me singing. If I'm in the car, the windows are down. Children are the living messages we will send into a time we will not see. – John W. Whitehead

| Posted 3 months ago I pray until I get home and share with my husband. I may discuss some things with my mentor teacher, but I try not to get too deep. A witty woman is a treasure; a witty Beauty is a power.

Posted 3 months ago When I have a problem I discuss it with a colleague who is reliable. If such colleague is not available, when I reach home I listen to music and sing or shout in the bathroom.
