| Posted 6 months ago Amazon seems to have everything that you need for tests. If they don't try Barnes and Nobles they keep a lot of testing materials in their line. I recertified for Florida the past two years and it was just like taking the FCAT. I am sure that the Virginia version of the state assessment will be close to what is on it just a little deeper. Good luck. Where are you going in Virginia? That is my home state. |

| Posted 6 months ago I finally broke down and bought the Morrison Media book from Amazon...despite the awful reviews. I find the book slightly helpful; however, not worth $40, especially not having a practice test of any kind. Someone told me to try the Praxis II 001 testing guide.

| Posted 6 months ago After reading your last post, I figured I better see what you needed to know on this test. Here is a pdf. of the 2004 blueprint for the test. http://www.va.nesinc.com/PDFS/VE_fld002_testblueprint.pdf Now, this is all research based learning skills that they are wanting to see if you are familiar with. The Fed. DOE has a line of books that are FREE that will have all the research. I have TWO copies of one book on reading research that I got from them because I am working on my reading endorsement and that is all researched based as well. Plus I have two principals that question my methods so I quote from the DOE Bible or research verse and page when they do that or anyone else. Google the National Reading Panel and get all the books that they offer. One is a report of the subgroups that has a lot of what you need to know. THere is a smaller book that has all the research and it should be even more helpful. I hope you have a bit of time to study especially about all the testing. I took a class on that in my endorsement and it was heavy. NEFEC.org has classes that you can take for endorsement in Florida and they will give you everything that you need to understand and pass that test. Anyway, I am here if you don't understand something or can help you. Go to the website and do the googling and you will be fine. Lynne |
