National Geographic is an amazing magaine. I read it at home, and I use the magazine in my classroom. I teach world geography and cultures, so it is a perfect fit. The photography reaches the kids in a way that no textbook ever could. Plus, I like that it is non-political.

No NG publication is too old to use in the elementary classroom! I pick them up where I find them. The articles have information you may never see anywhere else. Their photographs are legendary. Many heros have been mae by NG and their pictures. My godson went to college and the Army Core of Engineers majoring in Geology because of the maps and pictures he fell in love with while reading NG during his childhood.
