This book was eye opening for me. Racial inequity is a difficult topic to explore, but this book does a good job. It is the report of a researcher's first hand observational study of how black male students are disciplined differently than other groups of children in public schools, and are in a sense, led to developing a "criminal" identity from a young age. It is really worth reading since it made me think a lot about things going on at my school.
