This is the first book I read after receiving my ECE teaching credential, and it literally saved me from dropping out of teaching as a career before I'd even started. The book is an inspiration to all new teachers who feel afraid to show any weakness or fear. Although Esme's tone may be a tad haughty for this San Franciscan teacher, her writing style is so fluid and perfectly timed, I couldn't resist reading the entire book in one sitting. You'll love it.
