The school district that my youngest son attends just raised their breakfast and lunch prices. The breakfast price jumped from $1.00 to $1.25, which translates into roughly a $4.75 increase. The lunch price jumped from $2.00 to $2.50, which translates into roughly a $9.50 increase from last year per month (depending upon how many days the child attends.) If he eats both breakfast and lunch at the school, that will be roughly $14.25 more per month as opposed to last years prices due to increased gas prices to ship the food.
