The principal at this school does not sway from the tried and true. She has her own idea of how things should be. She does not let the teachers teach. She micromanages all aspects of the school. She does not give staff proper guidance for teaching, does not mentor her new teacher and is quick to give poor evaluations and or fire people on the spot. Further, she has her favorites as far as staff goes. She puts trust in the wrong people, specifically a younger staff member who has no people skills. This person is her right hand man. Her 'go to' about other staff members. This person is very negative towards teachers and students but sings a different tune towards administration. The staff know this and it has created a very low moral in the environment. The principal is blind to this persons ways with others or simply ignoring it. This young person has been rated tops in her evalutions and profession. It is a difficult situation for all of the current staff members.
Keep your distance from others and be slow to speak your ideas. Gain the principals trust first. Be a team player on your team. Do not complain about anything. Seek understanding and guidance from other professionals in the district 'not ' from the principal or her younger friend.
