Make a difference in far-reaching places in need and even right here in the United States. Whether you’re looking for a gift for the person who has everything, or you need a class project, these six gift ideas keep on giving long after the holiday music stops playing.

It still amazes me that we as Americans had the wealth to change the world; but instead chose hummers, obesity, and cloths we never wore.

My classroom has received globes and bean bag chairs through DonorsChoose, so I know its value first hand. When people ask me what I want as a gift I always suggest them.
When I give gifts it is most often a contribution to Heifer International. Just last month I gave some bees, some ducks, some rabbits and part of an oxen.

I have set my home page to the Hunger Site sot hat every day when I boot up my computer I don't forget to "free click" to donate food, save rainforest, donate mammograms. I have also put this link on my website with the words "You're going to buy things anyway, why not make it pay twice?" My dear family has to put up with me giving them things like "School shoes for girls in Africa $14" or "Send two girls to school in Afghanistan, $20"! The link is http://www.thehungersite.com/ and click on gifts that give more.
