Description: Students researched a biological macromolecule (choices were proteins, lipids, carbohydrates or nucleic acids) and, with a partner, created a cereal box with information about the compound. They learned and presented information about the structure, function, and mechanism of action for the compound. Here are the students presenting their cereals. The assignment is spelled out in the lesson plan section of this site (http://www.theapple.com/training/articles/3668-biocereals). There are also two photos associated with a food analysis lab.
